Muscle cars and super heroes.

Kirsten and Brad own and operate a business in the automotive industry, so it was no surprise to see these cars featured at their wedding.

This fun couple and their hilarious bunch of friends had their wedding at Moama on Murray, which is a great location for shooting. We have shot a few weddings here and we always seem to find new places to shoot. What started as a pretty warm day, turned into a very pleasant afternoon in the shade by the Murray River.

These guys wanted fun photos with some artistic license to employ some of my light painting work which always brings something different to the memories of the day. One thing Brad wanted was to have some industrial and grungy look to some of the car photos as well as a photo of Batman, Deadpool, Iron Man, and Superman…

Unfortunately, one of the vehicles wasn’t able to drive on gravel roads, so one of the locations we wanted to shoot was written off. Luckily we always have backup locations to capture what we want.

Like most weddings, I tend to be the timekeeper. If the script for the day says we need to be at “X” location for “X” time, we will always have people there on time. This is almost always the case when we duck off to get some photos. The bridal party will be relaxing and enjoying a drink and it can be easy to lose track of the time.

These guys were really fun to shoot, especially when they let you try new things with them. My only regret of the day was not getting a behind the scenes photo of me taking this photo! As mentioned earlier, the day was pretty warm. It really hit the flowers hard. We still wanted to showcase the flowers, but how? This photo was taken under the Moama bridge with two people holding flowers right up to Kirsten’s face. It would have looked bizarre, but the shot looks fantastic.

Thanks for having us along guys, we had a great day!
